REV UP WINNERS ANNOUNCED AT ANNUAL AWARDS CEREMONY
$52,500 AWARDED TO SMALL BUSINESS START-UPS AND EXPANSIONS

The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce announces the winners of the 2024 REV UP entrepreneur program. The winners were recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner recently held at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research.

BUSINESS APPRECIATION WEEK TO BE CELEBRATED JUNE 3-7

The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Danville Office of Economic Development & Tourism, the Pittsylvania County Economic Development Department, the River District Association, and the Southern Virginia Regional Alliance, will celebrate Business Appreciation Week from June 3-7.

LEADERSHIP SOUTHSIDE GRADUATES CLASS OF 2024

GRADUATES HONORED AT CHAMBER ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER

The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce announces the graduation of the Leadership Southside Class of 2024. The class was recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner last week at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research.

Leadership Southside is the Dan River Region’s premiere leadership development program for the business, education, public, and nonprofit sectors.

With this year’s 31st graduating class, Leadership Southside boasts over 580 alumni. The Chamber is proud to include this year’s Class of 2023 graduates in this alliance of leaders who are striving to move both their careers and their communities forward.

Applications are open now for the 2024-2025 program year. Those interested can apply at www.dpchamber.org/leadershipsouthside. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024. Only completed applications will be considered.

CHAMBER TO HOST LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

April 16, 2024

The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce invites the public to hear from the region’s legislators on the 2024 session of the Virginia General Assembly on Thursday, May 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The program will feature Senator Tammy Mulchi, Delegate Danny Marshall, and Delegate Eric Phillips. Matt Hall, the Community Liaison Officer with the Office of the Attorney General will also make special remarks. The event will be held at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research located at 150 Slayton Avenue in Danville.

CHAMBER HIRES SPECIAL PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that Delilah White has been hired as the Special Programs Coordinator, a newly created position that will play an integral role in delivering high value to Chamber members.

White will assist in the execution of programs and events at the Chamber. In this role she will also collaborate with Danville Community College to connect students who complete a 16-week Short-Term Cybersecurity Program and obtain certification with opportunities to become employed in the region.
