PINNACLE AWARD

PURPOSE

The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce’s Pinnacle Award recognizes excellence in business.

A nominee for the Pinnacle Award is distinguished as a business or organization that contributes to the economic vitality and quality of life in the region through innovative, ethical business practices, professionalism and strong community involvement. In addition, a nominee is respected throughout the community for commitment to the Chamber’s values, which include excellence, integrity, transparency, collaboration and diversity & inclusion.

CRITERIA

1. Nominee must be a for-profit or non-profit organization and a member in good standing of the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce.
2. Nominee must have 26 employees or more.
3. Nominee must have been in business for at least three years.
4. Nominee must excel at one or more of the following:

• Revenue, physical expansion and/or job creation or growth
• Innovative leadership with regard to products, production methods or services offered
• Organizational excellence and responsibility to stakeholders
• Strong involvement in the business community through professional, business, and/or trade associations
• Exemplary customer service
• Professional development of staff
• Community impact through the giving of themselves and/or staff in time and resources

PINNACLE SMALL BUSINESS AWARD

PURPOSE

The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce’s Pinnacle Small Business Award recognizes excellence in small business.

A nominee for the Pinnacle Small Business Award is distinguished as a small business or organization that contributes to the economic vitality and quality of life in the region through innovative, ethical business practices, professionalism and strong community involvement. In addition, a nominee is respected throughout the community for commitment to the Chamber’s values, which include excellence, integrity, transparency, collaboration and diversity & inclusion.

CRITERIA

1. Nominee must be a for-profit or non-profit organization and a member in good standing of the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce.
2. Nominee must have 25 employees or fewer.
3. Nominee must have been in business for at least three years.
4. Nominee must excel at one or more of the following:

PACE AWARD

PURPOSE

The Young Professionals PACE [Professional and Community Engagement] Awards are designed to recognize and celebrate exceptional young professionals in Danville and Pittsylvania County. The annual awards highlight up to five emerging leaders who have made significant contributions to the region through professional achievement and community involvement.

CRITERIA

1. Nominee must be under 40 years old.
2. Nominee must be employed by a member in good standing of the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce.
3. Nominee must demonstrate the following:

• At least three years of professional work experience (in or outside of the region)
• Excellence, creativity and initiative in their company or profession
• Valuable service to the community by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others

All nominations must be submitted to the Chamber by Monday, May 5, 2025.
